People not Safe in Bihar under NDA: Paswan
Patna: Nov. 3, 2007
Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, in the aftermath of attack on the reporters by Janata Dal (U) legislator Anant Singh and his goons on Friday, demanded resignation from the Nitish government saying it had lost the moral right to occupy power in the state and his party would seek its removal by launching a series of rallies aimed to inform the voters about its failures.
Taking a page straight from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) play book, Paswan also announced his decision to hold an anti-NDA rally, dubbed as 'Sankalp Rally' on November 28 in Patna, exactly a month after the RJD's Chetawani Rally meant to declare war on the Nitish government.
Using in the usual politician-speak, Paswan, at a press conference in Patna on Saturday lashed out at the NDA government calling it a total failure and worthless in terms of controlling crime in the state.
"Jagannath Mishra had once tried to suppress the voice of the media that resulted in the loss of power in Bihar. Now the Nitish government is also trying to do the same and that indicates the departure of this government is now just a matter of time," Paswan said.
"People of Bihar have seen the misrule of RJD and NDA. Now it’s the time of LJP to show what it can do for the state," Paswan, who is considered a master political opportunist by his opponents, said.
