Power Minister Blames RJD for State's Poor Power Situation
Patna: Nov. 8, 2007
Bihar Energy Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav, while inaugurating the hydraulic cranes of the Patna Electrical Supply Undertaking (PESU) on Thursday, lashed out at the previous Lalu-Rabri regime saying the same people who ruined and plundered the state for over 15-years have suddenly become the advocates of development and teaching the NDA how to effectively run the government.
Blaming the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) regime for Bihar's nagging energy problem, Yadav demanded to know from the RJD leaders to list what they had done to improve the power situation in Bihar.
"Now that the Nitish government is actually doing something for the development of the state, they are giving us lectures on how to extricate Bihar from its current predicament," Yadav said.
"The NDA government is paying heavy price for the ineptness of the previous government. Instead of trying to resolve the energy crisis in the state, they left us a debt of Rs. 400 crore to the NTPC that we had to pay immediately after assuming power in the state," the Energy Minister said.
Yadav said with three new hydraulic cranes at the disposal of the PESU, repair works in the state capital would be much easier and faster than ever before.
