Photo by Shashi UttamRashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, on Saturday celebrated Govardhan Puja at his cow ranch in Danapur by offering prayers to the cow and feeding hundreds of poor people saying by praying cows, one could hope to achieve prosperity and good health.

Offering prayers to the cows should not only be limited to the Yaduvanshis but everyone should observe Govardhan Puja that brings nothing but prosperity and happiness, said Yadav.

The Railway Minister personally inspected all the cows owned by him and had them washed and dried up for the occasion.

Ram Kripal Yadav, MP, former state minister Shyam Rajak, legislator Mohammed Anwar, and a number of other Lalu supporters were present during the puja and the 'bhoj'.
