CM to Inaugurate Tractor Assembly Plant in Fatuha

Patna: Nov. 14, 2007

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be inaugurating one of the largest assembly plants in Bihar when he lays the foundation stone of the assembly plant of International Tractor Limited at the industrial park in Fatuha on Sunday.

The project to be set up at the cost of Rs. 175 crore will be able to churn out 42,000 tractors under the brand name of Sonalika brand each year from its assembly line that would start operating from August 2008, officials at the Industry department said on Wednesday.

With all industrial projects so far cleared costing less than Rs. 100 crore, the International Tractor plant would be the biggest plant ever to operate in Bihar, officials said.

The president-cum-Managing Director of the company L. D. Mittal would also be attending the ceremony on Sunday.
