Anant Singh Demands Actions against Conspirators
Patna: Nov. 20, 2007
Janata Dal (U) legislator Anant Singh, following the arrest of builder Anil Sharma and two others in the Kajal murder case in Patna on Tuesday, said he felt vindicated and thanked the Patna police for bringing the case to a closure with the real culprits now behind the bars.
"Without any evidence, my men and I were arrested on cooked up charges. The media went was frothing in its mouth and we were sent to the jail to spend nights with hard-core Naxalites," Singh. who was arrested on November 1 and released on November 7, said.
"This was a clear attempt to malign me and the entire NDA government and many politicians from the other side of the aisle willingly and actively took part in this conspiracy. It is now incumbent on the state police to unmask these politicians and take actions against them," said the legislator.
