Kajal Murder Case: Builder, Wife in Judicial Custody

The Patna police, on Wednesday, after producing builder Anil Sharma, his accomplice Qamar Mohasin alias Munna, and Sharma's wife Usha before a court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Mithilesh Kumar Rai, sent them to Beur Jail in judicial custody while also taking Sharma on a five day police remand for further interrogation in the Kajal murder case.
While Sharma and Munna face charges of murdering beauty parlor worker Kajal to allegedly settle scores with Janata Dal (U) legislator Anant Singh, Usha Sharma was arrested following charges of fraud and intimidation filed against her by Ranjana Singh, the owner of Parijat Apartment Complex on Dak Bungalow crossing.
Singh, in her police report, said that by using threats and coercion, the Sharmas forced her to sign papers that made them the owners of the apartments.
Meanwhile, the police continue to search for four more persons in the Kajal murder case.
"We have identified these men and are hoping to catch them soon," Sachivalaya DSP Sridhar Mandal said.
