Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president and Union Steel, Chemical, and Fertilizer Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, in Patna on Tuesday, flagged off his 'Sankalp Rath' meant to launch an all-out assault on the alleged failure of the Nitish government.
With over 1 lakh LJP supporters expected to participate in the rally that takes place at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Wednesday, Paswan, riding a bike and playing drums with the rally cheerleaders near the Hotel Maurya, was seen going from one locality to another to raise the headcount for the 'Sankalp Rally'.
To give a dramatic touch to the entire event, hundreds of motorcycle-borne LJP supporters from various parts of the North Bihar arrived in Patna making it look like the city holding the annual convention of the Hell's Angels.
Dancers from Jharkhand, the latest gimmick to secure the success of any political rally, added to the amusement of the by-standers and passers-by who are now used to such 'tamasha' in Patna on almost a daily basis.
As with the Rashtriya Janata Dal's (RJD) 'Chetawani Rally', dozens of trains started to arrive at Patna Junction hauling LJP supporters from various parts of the state. Trains from West Bengal and Orissa also brought in a few hundred delegates with over 2 dozen trains expected to arrive in the state capital on Wednesday.
