Congress 'Pad-Yatra' Lacks Oomph

Patna: Oct. 2, 2007

The nearly 5 kilometer distance between Gandhi Maidan and Shaheed Smarak, while started with all zeal and fervor, by the time the leaders completed the first kilometer, most were looking for a way to ditch the bandwagon or looking for a faster way to reach the goal.

Youth Congress leaders, however, lived up to the expectations by covering the distance in less than an hour while being cheered up by a sound system in a jeep playing 'Sabarmati ke Sant…'

At Shaheed Smarak, Congress leader Dr. Ashok Kumar and Dr. Mahachandra Prasad Singh addressed a brief gathering that soon dispersed thanks to the exhaustion caused by the long walk.
