Medicines worth Several Lakh Stolen  from Rajendra Nagar Terminal

The Railway Police at Rajendra Nagar Terminal in Patna are scratching their heads after news of more than Rs. 7 lakh worth of medicines disappearing from the parcel room surfaced on Tuesday casting a cloud of suspicion on the security arrangements at the railway station.

As reported, medicines worth over Rs. 7 lakh arriving by Indore Express, was safely locked up at the railway parcel warehouse at Rajendra Nagar Terminal. However, when opened on Tuesday, officials found dozens of cartons containing the drugs missing from the godown.

During the initial investigation, authorities found a large hole in the ceiling suggesting the thieves entered into the room from the roof.

A probe has been launched to get to the bottom of the case and raids are being conducted to nab the culprits, the Railway Police said.
