On the last Friday of Ramzan, Muslims in Patna and around congregated at all city mosques to offer prayers amidst extremely tight security. Those who were not able to find places inside mosques chose to offer namaaz on streets blocked by city administration for this special purpose.

The largest crowd was witnessed at the Jama Masjid just outside Patna Junction and the Anjuman Islamia Hall on Ashok Rajpath where security was elaborate to avoid any untoward incident.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi expressed their greetings to all Muslims in the nation and wished for a communal harmony and peace in the state.

Heavy crowd of shoppers were witnessed at Patna Junction, Patna Market, Sabzi Bagh, Boring Road, Phulwarisharif, Sheikhpura, Patna City, and Kankarbagh where shopkeepers were raking in money selling sweets and other items to mark Eid on Saturday.
