Photo by Shashi UttamThe police in Patna under Buddha Colony police station on Monday, after receiving tips from anonymous sources, recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from a house in Dujra though, much to the shock of many, the police did not arrest anyone in the case.

As reported, the police, after being tipped off, raided the house of a retired army jawan Rampratap Mahto in Dujrachak area and recovered two country-made rifles and four country-made pistols besides many live cartridges.

Mahto, who was brought to the police station for interrogation, however, was allowed to go free despite his apparent involvement in the case.

When asked, the police refused to elaborate why Mahto was not taken into custody.
