RJD Spreading Lies and Rumors: JD-U Leader
Patna: Oct. 25, 2007
Janata Dal (U) national spokesperson Shivanand Tiwari, on Thursday, lashed out at the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leadership of purposely twisting facts and spreading lies against the ruling NDA parties in an attempt to drum up support for the RJD's October 28 'Chetawni Rally' in Patna against the Nitish government.
"By instilling fear and apprehension in the Yadav community using lies and rumors against the state government, the RJD leaders are hoping to win back the support of Yadavs who, by and large, had enough of their so-called leaders before the change of hands in power in Bihar," Tiwari said.
"By saying that the Yadavs are going to be under immense threat under the NDA government in Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav is not only being dishonest but being paranoid as well," he said.
Tiwari said Yadav could not be farther from truth when the fact was there were 20 Yadav legislators in the NDA with 14 from the JD-U and 6 from BJP. "RJD also has 20 Yadavs as its legislators so any talk about Yadavs being in danger under the Nitish government is nothing but a pack of lies," the JD-U leader said.
