Rabri Devi's Security Guard Assaulted
Patna: Oct. 30, 2007
Following a minor road accident, an angry mob in Patna on Tuesday, roughed up a BMP-10 jawan working as the security guard of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi sending him to a local hospital where he was treated for bruises and cuts before being released.
According to the reports, Vijendra Yadav, Rabri Devi's guard, was standing with his motorcycle just outside the Vishvaraiyah Bhawan on Tuesday evening when a Sumo vehicle knocked the motorcycle on the ground.
This led to an altercation which soon turned into an all-out brawl as the occupants of the Sumo beat up Yadav black and blue. Before the police could arrive, the men in the Sumo fled the scene leaving Yadav covered in his own blood.
Later he filed an FIR against unidentified assailants.
The vehicle tag number was flashed on police radios but till the time of reporting, no arrest was made.
