RJD Burns Effigies of Narendra Modi, Nitish
Patna: Oct. 30, 2007
Bihar State Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Workers' cell under the leadership of Babban Yadav, in Patna on Tuesday, took out a rally and burnt the effigies of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the issues of 2002 Godhra riots and other Bihar-specific issues including decline in law and order under the Nitish government.
The rally that started on Rajendra Path in Kadam Kuan, after covering Bhattacharya Road and Exhibition Road, arrived at the Dak Bungalow Crossing where the protestors burnt the effigy of Modi demanding death for him for allegedly inciting Gujarat riots in 2002 that resulted in the deaths of nearly 2000 people.
During his address, Babban Yadav accused the Nitish government of failing on law and order front saying murders, kidnappings, rapes, and robberies were at record high level and the state was completely in the clutches of bureaucrats who were getting away with blatant corruption under the very nose of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
