Students Debate Indo-US Nuclear Deal

Dozens of students from Patna University, Magadh University, and Baba Saheb Ambedkar University on Monday participated in a debate on the nuclear deal between India and the U.S. at Patna Women's College presenting their varying views on the controversial agreement while disagreeing with other views in a passionate, yet friendly manner.
Altogether 94 contestants participated in the event with 52 presenting their views in favor of the deal while the remaining 42 opposing the agreement.
Out of 94 participants, 14 were selected for a state-wide debate on the same issue to be held in Patna shortly.
The panel of judges included Prof. Nidhi Sinha of Patna Women's College, Dr. Amarendra Narayan of Patna University, Dr. Mamta Deepak of Magadh Mahila College, Dr. Sayendra Narayan of College of Commerce, Dr. Kalpana Shahi of J. D. Women's College, and Dr. Premlata Ranjan of UNESCO.
Chief guest and former Vice Chancellor of L. N. Mithila University Dr. Rajmani Prasad Singh praised the students for being aware of the world events and hoped for an even more fervent debate at the state level.
