Maoists in Bihar on Rampage; Several Attacks Reported

Naxal extremists in Bihar on Sunday blew up railway tracks, destroyed small stations, and set dozens of vehicles on fire taking full advantage of lukewarm security arrangement establishing the state police were no match for the ultras who continue to wreak havoc in the state.
At least three people, including a police officer, were killed during the day-long insurgency staged by the Maoists in protest against the arrests of several of their comrades in last few weeks.
In Gaya, the ultras blew up railway tracks severely disrupting normal traffic will all trains on the line stranded at different railway stations.
On GT Road, the insurgents set dozens of trucks on fire and ambushed a patrolling unit in which at least one SAP jawan was shot down.
Nawadih railway station on the Garhwa Road-Dehri section was also blown up by the Naxalites though no one was said to be injured in the incident.
The Railway police recovered a live bomb and a large quantity of detonator on Dehri-Mughalsarai division of the East Central Railways.
