BJP to Declare War on UPA Government on Foundation Day

Patna: April 3, 2008

The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar, to mark the foundation day of the party on April 9, would hold a rally at Patna's Gandhi Maidan to declare war on the Congress-led UPA government, party state president Radhamohan Singh said at a press conference on Thursday.

The rally would include activists of all the party fronts and forums with each one having their own pavilions to address the gathering, Singh said.

Senior BJP leaders including Kalraj Mishra and Kailashpati Mishra would speak on the occasion.

Because of prior engagement at the Gandhi Maidan on April 6, the foundation day instead would be celebrated on April 9, said the BJP leader.

"Our party leaders, supporters, and activists would pledge to kick out the UPA government from power in the next Lok Sabha elections for leading the nation to the path of high prices since the day it came into power," Singh said.
