3rd Patna Film Festival to Open on Saturday

Patna: April 3, 2008

Patna is gearing up for the 3rd Film Festival in the state capital that opens bright and early on Saturday, April 5 at Patna's Regent theater featuring four shows a day, Information and Public Relations minister Arjun Rai said at a press conference on Thursday.

The first show would begin 8:45 am, while the second at 5:00 pm, the third at 8:00 pm and the fourth and final show would begin at 11:00 pm, the minister said.

Altogether 23 films from a number of countries including Japan, Sweden, Germany, Russia, USA and India would feature in the Patna Film Festival 2008 with Bollywood's very own Taarey Zameen Par, Ghosla ka Khosla, Chak de India, Black and White, Jab We Met, Salaam Bombay, Bheja Fry, and Bhojpuri film Kab Aibu Anganwa Hamaar also sharing the honor of being screened at the festival.

The festival would be inaugurated at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall and would also grace the presence of noted film personalities including Prakash Jha, Manoj Bajpai, Manoj Tiwari, newcomer Anurag Sinha, and Sanjay Tripathi, Rai said.
