Bihar Model to Replace Gujarat Model: Shivanand
Patna: April 6, 2008
Janata Dal (U) national spokesperson and a Member of Parliament, Shivanand Tiwari, at a press conference in Patna on Sunday, said the way Bihar was coming out of its economic adversity under the able leadership of Nitish Kumar was an example for other states to emulate.
"Bihar's image is changing fast under the Nitish government and soon 'Bihar model' would surpass the so-called 'Gujarat model' that would immensely help the NDA in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections," Tiwari said.
The JD-U leader, however, was quick to add that he was in no way criticizing the Gujarat model and was only saying that Bihar model was quickly becoming an example that, in many ways, will surpass the Gujarat model set by Narendra Modi.
Tiwari also predicted the demise of UPA government at the Center in the next Lok Sabha elections.
"The way prices of most essential items are skyrocketing and the size of 'roti' is shrinking in everyone's plate, it is only a matter of time that the UPA government is shown the door in the upcoming Parliamentary elections," Tiwari said.
