Patna City Police Arrests Daughter for Killing her Mother

Just days after the city police arrested the son of a retired IAS officer for killing his own father due to dispute over family inheritance, a woman in Patna City area strangled and stabbed her own mother to death over a similar family dispute, officials in Patna City said.
The incident that has shocked the entire neighborhood took place at a house in Lodikatara area under Khajekalan police station on Monday night.
As reported, Raushan Ara strangled her mother Amana Khatoon and then stabbed her multiple times with a sharp knife following dispute over money and family properties.
Officials were called but by then Khatoon was already dead. Her body was sent to the Nalanda Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
The police have arrested Raushan Ara who denies killing her mother but her 6-year old son told the police his mother 'killed my grandmother'.
The six-year old along with two other siblings are said to be in the custody of Raushan Ara's sister who lives in the same neighborhood, the police said.
