Mobile Shop Broken into on Dak Bungalow Road

Patna: April 25, 2008

Burglars in Patna on late Thursday night broke into a mobile shop near Dak Bungalow crossing and got away with new mobile sets, accessories, and cash to the tune of Rs. 2 lakh though the police estimate the loss to be in the region of Rs. 40-50,000.

As reported, criminals entered the shop ‘Mobile Connection’ by breaking the asbestos roof of the building. Once inside, they cleaned the safe that contained Rs. 10,000 in cash and took away between 15-20 new cell phones and accessories with them.

An FIR was lodged with the Kotwali police station by shop owner Ajay Kumar.

While the police are investigating the case, inside job has not been ruled out, police station in-charge Abhay Narayan Singh said.
