CM Hints at Disciplinary Actions against Rebel Leaders
Patna: April 28, 2008
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, a little peeved by the former Building Construction Minister Monazir Hasan's relentless tirade against the NDA government in Bihar, hinted at taking stern disciplinary measures against him saying Hasan was clearly crossing the line of decency by making baseless allegations against other NDA leaders.
"Hasan has pushed this issue to the limit. It has been a while since the government was reshuffled, yet he is making an issue of it while putting the interest of the public on the back-burner. Enough of this nonsense. The party high command is watching his moves closely and soon party president Sharad Yadav would deal with him," Kumar said.
The Chief Minister further said that this was not the first time the government had been reshuffled and would not be the last time either. "These things happen. Even the Central Ministry has been reshuffled many times. At the end of the day, it is up to the people of Bihar to see who remains in power and who does not," he said.
In reference to Hasan's demand for an investigation into the properties of other NDA leaders, Kumar dismissed it as mere drivel of a frustrated politician who was struggling to come to terms with the reality.
As reported before, Hasan earlier threatened to blow whistle on other NDA ministers saying the government was trying to malign him and other sacked ministers.
"They better not force me to open my mouth because once I start talking, many secrets would become public," Hasan had said on Sunday.
