Bank manager Atul Chandra Verma, in his speech, said that the people of Bihar had given a lot to the bank over a period of several years and it was only proper for the bank to give something back to the community.

“The bank has profited to the tune of Rs. 400 crore this year and donating a dialysis unit to a hospital of the stature of Mahavir Arogya Sansthan is the least we could do,” said Verma.

Mahavir Sansthan Trust manager Acharya Kishol Kunal proposed the vote of thanks.

Arun Kumar Sinha, MLA, former director of the Sansthan Dr. S. C. Mishra, Justice Uday Sinha, Dr. S. P. Srivastava, Kidney specialist Dr. Indu Bhushan Sinha and Dr. Jialal Arya were also present on the occasion.

The Tuesday event also included a healthy baby contest in which a number of children, accompanied by their parents, participated.
