Show-cause Notice to Disgruntled JD-U Leaders
Patna: April 29, 2008
Janata Dal (U) on Tuesday issued a show-cause notice to disgruntled party leader and former Minister Monazir Hasan and legislator Poonam Yadav for continuing to bad-mouth the party after Hasan was removed from the Cabinet in the last reshuffle of the NDA government in Bihar.
The two had been most vocal in their diatribe against the NDA government calling the ministers corrupt and threatening to ‘expose’ them for their misdeeds.
Party state president Rajiv Ranjan Singh who met with national president Sharad Yadav in New Delhi on Tuesday apprised him of the political uprising within the party in Bihar and asked him to intervene in the matter.
“Reshuffling in any government is quite common and to stretch one’s frustration and anger to the point that one starts making false allegations against other party leaders is preposterous,” Yadav said.
Meanwhile, over a dozen Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders left for New Delhi on Tuesday night to hold talks with senior party leaders including L. K. Advani to present their case in front of them.
Among those who are hoping to reverse their ‘political misfortune’ in New Delhi are Gopal Narayan Singh, Nityanand Rai, Avnish Kumar Singh, Rameshwar Chaurasia, and Amarendra Pratap Singh.
