Patna: April 30, 2008

Four Railway Over-bridges to Open Next Month. Photo by Shashi UttamThe state Road Construction Minister Prem Kumar, after inspecting five railway over-bridges under construction in Patna on Wednesday, said four of them would be open for public in June while the one in Mithapur would be completed in the March of 2009.

The over-bridges in Bahadurpur, Agam Kuan, Chiraiyantand, and the Secretariat are in the last phase of their construction and would be open for traffic sometime next month,” said Kumar who took over the department from Nand Kishore Yadav following reshuffle in the government a few weeks ago.

“I am a little disappointed by the slow speed of work but efforts are being made to ensure these projects are completed within the expected timeframe,” the minister said adding illegal encroachment in most areas were largely responsible for the slow pace of work.
