Hundreds of protestors in Patna on Monday took to the street on Exhibition Road and Bhattacharya Road after the entire area lost electricity following an accident involving a truck and an electric pole on late Sunday night.
As reported, the accident knocked a transformer pole on Bhattacharya Road cutting off electrical supply in Exhibition Road, Bhattacharya Road, Pirmuhani, and parts of Kadam Kuan.
After several attempts to get the attention of the concerned authorities failed to bring the desired result, angry residents of these areas blocked the roads and demanded immediate restoration of power and sacking of unconcerned officials.
Meanwhile, because of a broken cable near the CDA office on Station Road, residents in the area had to go without power for several hours.
