Burglary Attempt at Railway Warehouse
Patna: Aug. 20, 2008
Criminals in Patna on early Wednesday morning tried to break the locks of a railway warehouse in Karbigahia to steal computers and computer parts stored in it but forced to abandon the plan due to an approaching patrolling unit, officials in Patna said.
As reported, the burglars succeeded in cutting open the shutter but failed to bust the padlocks on the door to gain entry.
Meanwhile, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) patrolling unit was passing through Karbigahia that alarmed the thieves forcing them to drop their plan and escape to avoid arrests.
RPF officials said attempts were being made to identify and apprehend the criminals. Inside job has not been ruled out, they said.
