CM Honors Bihar Sportsmen

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, at a function to mark the Sports Day at the Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna on Friday, bestowed honors on 133 sportsmen from Bihar for making the state proud in various sports in the international arena.

Among those who received awards by the Chief Minister included Ajitesh Rai for participating in the Olympic Hockey Qualifying Round, World Carom Champion Rashmi Kumar, female soccer players Ansha and Madhu Kumar, and Basketball player Manavendra.

"By your excellence in the world of sports, you have made all of us very proud. Your successes will be a source of inspiration for the young boys and girls of Bihar for years to come," Kumar said while distributing a cash reward and a memento to all the recipients.
