Former Bihar Assembly Speaker S. C. Jha Succumbs to his Injury

Former Bihar Assembly Speaker Shiv Chandra Jha, who was seriously hurt on November 23 after a motorcycle hit him outside his home in Bhagalpur, succumbed to his injuries at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Monday.
Mr. Jha who was 76 is survived by his wife.
As reported before, Jha was taking his daily stroll outside his home when a motorcycle driven by one Kamal Kumar hit him violently causing serious head, back, and chest injuries.
He was brought to Patna and immediately flown to New Delhi where he battled to survive for eight days until he breathed his last on early Monday morning.
Jha was first elected to Bihar Assembly from Bhagalpur constituency in 1980 and then again in 1985. He also served two terms in the State Legislative Council Vidhan Parishad.
