Agriculture Minister Hospitalized after Chest Pain

Patna: February 5, 2008

State Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh on Tuesday was rushed to the Indira Gandhi Institute of Cardiology after he complained of chest pain and queasiness, family members said adding Singh was admitted in the Emergency ward of the hospital where he was under constant vigil by his doctors.

As reported, Singh complained of the chest pain at around 6:00 am on Tuesday morning. He was attended by Dr. K. K. Varun who then advised him to get admitted in the Indira Gandhi Institute of Cardiology for a thorough physical check up.

All of Singh's engagements have been cancelled as the doctors ordered him completely bed-ridden until all the tests were completed and he was given a clean chit by his physicians.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other NDA leaders enquired about Singh's condition and advised him to take it easy until he was ready to come back to work.
