Bihar Govt. to bear former DM's Medical Expenses

 The state government on Tuesday announced its intention to bear the medical expenses of the former Patna District Magistrate Gautam Goswami who has reportedly been diagnosed of suffering from liver ailment, officials in Patna said on Tuesday.
The government also moved a step closer to lifting suspension on him that followed his indictment and eventual imprisonment for his role in the multi-crore rupees flood-relief scam.
A senior official in the Nitish government on Monday visited Goswami at his residence and reviewed his medical reports and health care expense record to get a complete picture of his medical conditions.
Officials said Goswami would be provided all the amenities and perks that an IAS officer is entitled to during a normal course of his or her services.
