The protest started before the opposition leaders even entered the Assembly building. Carrying placards and shouting slogans, the RJD leaders said the supporters of the rival parties were being eliminated systematically by the ruling parties and crime in the state capital was reaching a new height with not a day passing by when someone was not being murdered or robbed.

As reported earlier, the police and even the son of the victim have said that Yadav was killed by a group of people over a long land dispute in Bhagalpur district.
Unleashing a barrage of tirade, the RJD leaders accused the ruling parties of deceiving the people of Bihar, not making any headway in the area of power supply and drinking water and letting the bureaucracy run over the state while encouraging corruption in all government offices.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, however, slammed the opposition for making uncharitable remarks against Governor R. S. Gavai.

"Such behavior only adds fuel to the fire and does not in any way helps the cause of Bihar. The opposition's attitude against the Governor was so shameful that I had to apologize to him on behalf of the RJD leaders," Kumar said.

The Chief Minister also appealed to the Center to impose Article 365 on Maharashtra government for its failure to protect people from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh in the light of violence perpetrated against them by Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena activists.
