Saddhvi Ritambhara, the founder of Vatsalya Gram, a women and children shelter near Vrindavan, during her discourse in front of the Chitragupta Temple in Patna on Thursday appealed to the people to shun their egos and pride and accept the god for inner peace and for overall peace in the world.
"Submission of one's life to the God and discarding false pride and ego are imperative to achieve inner calm," Ritambhara said.
Popularly known as Didi Ma, Saddhvi Ritambhara condemned the practice of abortion and use of alcoholic products saying they lead to nothing but more misery and devastation.
Enunciating the importance of a teacher in one's life, the religious leader said that the teacher played a very important role in shaping the lives of millions of people and were quite adept in reading the minds of young men and women.
On the subject of reprimanding young boys and girls, Ritambhara said that the parents should be forgiving and tolerant to their children's behavior while at the same time inculcating good habits and values in them in a healthy, religious atmosphere.
Former Central Minister Dr. C. P. Thakur, Urban Development Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Land Reform Minister Ramnath Thakur, legislator Giriraj Singh, and event organizer Ravindra Kishore Sinha were among hundreds of people who attended the concluding day of the Saddhvi Ritambhara's religious discourse.
