Hundreds of angry students chanting anti-Sonia and anti-Dixit slogans at Kargil Chowk accused the UPA government of acting irresponsibly and discriminating against people from Bihar.

However, we will take our agitation to New Delhi if these rules are not withdrawn soon," said JD-U Students' Wing national secretary Bhupendra Kumar.

Party leader and state secretary Rakesh Kumar Yadav also accused Gandhi and Dixit of conspiring against Biharis in an attempt to keep Bihar backward.

The new rules are expected to go in effect from January 15.
