Youth Dies in Road Accident. Photo by Shashi UttamIn yet another tragedy on Bihar roads, a 22-year old man was struck and killed by a speeding vehicle causing a riot-like situation in which the mob damaged several buses and cars.

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when on New Bypass Road under Jakkanpur police station a vehicle, suspected to be a bus, ran over 22-year old Rishi Kumar, a bus driver's assistant, and sped away.

An angry mob then took possession of the dead body and damaged several buses and other smaller vehicles demanding the arrest of the driver and compensation for the victim's family.

Jakkanpur police station in-charge Arun Kumar 'Akela' arrived at the scene with a team of police and somehow managed to diffuse the tension.

The body of Rishi Kumar was sent to the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) for an autopsy.

So far no arrest has been made in the case.
