Birth Anniversary of Bindeshwari Dubey Celebrated. Photo by Shashi UttamLeaders in Bihar on Monday paid rich tributes to the former Chief Minister of Bihar Late Bindeshwari Dubey to mark his birth anniversary at a state-sponsored function organized at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall.

Among those who put garlands on the picture of Dubey included Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, a Governor's representative, former Chief Minister and Janata Dal – U leader Jagannath Mishra, Water Resources Minister Ramashraya Prasad Singh, legislators Sanjay Singh, Aslam Azaad, and R. L. Kanaujia.

In a separate celebration, Congress leaders held a similar event at the party headquarters at Sadaqat Ashram in Patna presided over party state president Sadanand Singh who said Dubey was a friend of the labor class and his contributions towards the betterment of the workers class could not be over-emphasized.

Born in 1921, Bindeshwari Dubey was the Chief Minister of Bihar between March 25, 1985 and February 14, 1988.

He died in 1993.
