Patna: January 21, 2008

Three persons were critically injured when a truck and a courier van collided with each other on Gandhi Setu in Patna on Monday evening causing a massive road jam that was cleared only after the wreckage were removed by the district officials.

The impact was so strong that the van was reduced to a pile of rubble with the drivers of both vehicles and the truck driver's assistant incurring serious injuries.

The three men were rushed to a private hospital where they remained in critical conditions.

As reported, the courier van that was coming from the Hajipur side collided head on with a truck near Gai Ghat Bridge.
