Man Found Dead at Gandhi Maidan

 The police in Patna on Wednesday recovered the body of a 60-something man from Gandhi Maidan who apparently died from cold after spending a night under the star with temperature dipping into single digit.
People in the area said the man was a beggar and had no place to sleep forcing him to spend nights inside Gandhi Maidan.
The victim's body was sent to the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) for an autopsy while the police were trying to ascertain his identity.
Meanwhile, the state government on Wednesday distributed hundreds of blankets to homeless people as did the local chapter of the Red Cross in Patna.
