Woman Elopes with Lover; Both Arrested

 The Patna police on late Wednesday night arrested Usha Devi, the wife of Bokaro police inspector Rajendra Rajwar, and her alleged lover Shashi Kumar, after Rajwar filed a complaint with the police saying his wife had eloped with Shashi leaving their three-year old girl behind.
As reported, Shashi Kumar studying engineering in Bokaro came in contact with the Rajwars when he started tutoring their girl at their home. Soon the Rajwars offered him to stay with them while continuing to teach their daughter.
With one thing leading to another, soon Usha and Shashi became emotionally and physically involved, Rajwar said in his report.
 When things started to get out of hand, Shashi moved to Patna only to be followed by Usha who left her girl behind in Bokaro.
On Wednesday night, the Patna police raided a house in the Indrapuri area and took both Shashi and Usha into custody.
Usha maintains that her husband used to torture her both physically and mentally that led to her straying away from her marital life.
Both are expected to be arraigned at a court in Patna on Saturday, the police said.
