Mauritius PM Thanks Nitish; Extends Visit Invitation

In a letter written to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the Prime Minister of Mauritius Dr. Naveenchandra Ramgoolaam thanked him and the people of Bihar for their warm hospitality bestowed upon him during his maiden visit to Bihar last month while inviting him to take part in a convention on poverty involving less than fortunate people in the southern African nations.
Addressing him as his brother, Dr. Ramgoolaam said his experience in Bihar, the land of his ancestors, had left indelible imprint on his mind and for which he was eternally grateful to the people of Bihar.
The Prime Minister, in his letter dated February 28, invited the Chief Minister to attend the convention dubbed as Southern African Development Community' to be held on April 20th in the capital city of Port Louis with focus on poverty in the region.
"Your experience in trying to alleviate poverty in Bihar would be immensely valuable to us in combating similar problems in the southern African nations," Dr. Ramgoolaam said in his letter.
Recalling his visit to Patna, the Prime Minister said he would never forget the unveiling of his father Sir Seewoosagar Ramgoolaam's statue in Patna last February.
