Chiraiyantand Bridge to Open for Traffic in April

Patna: March 4, 2008

The State Bridge Construction Corporation managing director A. K. Jha, while talking to reporters in Patna on Tuesday said the new Chiraiyantand Bridge would be completed and opened for traffic by the end of next month though some parts of the bridge would be completed a few months later.

Except for the short connector between Kankarbagh Colony intersection and Karbigahia, the rest of the bridge would be officially opened for public by mid April, Jha said adding the bridge would open for pedestrians by March end.

Once completed, there would be three connectors going towards Kankarbagh while one bridge going from Kankarbagh to Exhibition Road. To minimize congestion, all the bridges would be one-way, Jha said.
