Photo by Shashi UttamRashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and party spokesperson Shyam Rajak on Monday held a press conference outside Bihar Assembly to condemn the killing of three Bihari workers in the latest attack on migrant workers in Assam.

Appealing to the Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar to hold talks with his Assam counterpart to demand safety for Bihari labors, Rajak said the Nitish government had failed to take up the cause of Biharis in states like Assam and Maharashtra and must stand up for their rights outside Bihar.

As reported, dozens of armed ultras opened fire at a brick kiln in Dibrugarh district in Assam on late Sunday evening killing five workers – three of them from Bihar – before escaping in the cover of darkness.

The victims were identified as Brahmadeo Rai, Sri Bhagwan Rai, and Shankar Rai – all hailing from Saran district in Bihar.
