Body of Missing ASI Recovered from Bathroom

Patna: March 11, 2008

The police in Patna under Shastrinagar police station on Tuesday recovered the body of assistant sub-inspector Indu Bhushan Singh, who had been reported missing since Friday night, from the lavatory of the Police Radio (Wireless) office causing a sensation in the area.

As reported, Singh went to work on Friday but failed to return home that night. When he did not return on Saturday, his son Neeraj Kumar filed a report of missing person with the Shastrinagar police station.

On Tuesday morning, a security guard, after sensing foul odor coming out from the building, started a search of the facility and was stunned when he found the decomposing body of Singh on the lavatory floor.

The body of Singh was sent for an autopsy that should shed some light on the cause of his death, Shastrinagar police station in-charge Kamod Prasad said.
