Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLC Nawal Kishore Yadav caused a scene outside the state Assembly on Tuesday when he scuffled with a traffic police after he asked him to move his Toyota from the restricted zone, the police in Patna said.

As reported, Yadav arrived at the Assembly after missing the session for last few days. When traffic sub-inspector Pramod Kumar asked him to move his car to the designated parking area, Rai hurled abuse at him and threatened him to get fired.

The MLC also allegedly roughed up Kumar who, after giving Yadav a piece of his own mind, advised him to remain within his limit before filing a case with the police for breaking parking rules and assaulting a law-enforcement official – a charge denied by Yadav.

The RJD leader then disrupted the Assembly session demanding sacking of the sub-inspector while promising to continue to protest until Kumar was fired.
Traffic DSP Sheila Irani who rushed to the site to keep the situation under control took statements from both parties and filed a police report.

An investigation has been launched in the case.
