Trouble at Law Test Centers in Patna

Patna: March 12, 2008

Trouble at Law Test Centers in Patna. Photo by Shashi UttamLaw students in Patna on Wednesday staged a protest and walked out of the Part 3 and final exams after the administration foiled their bid to engage in unfair means at the local TPS College.

Complaining of test papers having been leaked out prior to the exams, the students said it was only fair that they used books during the test – an argument quickly rejected by the authorities who said those who wished to walk out of the examination hall were free to do so.

TPS College principal Ramnaresh Singh denied the rumors of questions being leaked out.

"Some anti-social elements tried to disrupt the exams by spreading the rumors of test papers having been leaked out. Had that been the case, they would be the last one to stage a walk-out, the principal said.

Meanwhile, a number of students were expelled from the B. D. Evening College exam center for engaging in unfair means, college Vice Principal Dr. Subhash Prasad Sinha said.
