Cop's Son Kills Friend in Patna City; Search on

Patna: March 18, 2008

The son of a police under Alamganj police station in Patna City on Tuesday shot and killed his friend after inviting him out of his home and taking him to a lonely lane, the Patna City police said adding efforts were on to nab the killer.

As reported, Firoz Mohammed, the son of a cop, came to the house of his 18-year old friend Shadaab and asked him to come out. Shadaab came out of his home and went hardly few yards when 3-4 youths grabbed him while Firoz stuck a pistol on his head and pulled the trigger.

Eyewitnesses in the area rushed to revive the victim and took him to the Nalanda Medical College Hospital where he was announced dead on arrival.

Alamganj police station in-charge K. K. Singh, after being informed of the crime, arrived at the crime scene but the criminals were long gone.

"We have recovered a pistol from the crime scene and have identified two individuals in the case," Singh said adding arrests could come anytime.

Shadaab worked as a tailor in a shop in Bakerganj. His father works in Saudi Arabia, family members said.
