Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday placed a sheet (chaadar) on the tomb of Hazrat Shaheed Safdarshah Rahmatullah near Patna High Court and prayed for peace and prosperity in Bihar.

Kumar was accompanied by Building Construction Minister Monazir Hasan, newly-elected Rajya Sabha MP and Janata Dal (U) national spokesperson Shivanand Tiwari, Science and Technology Minister Dr. Anil Kumar, and a number of NDA legislatures.

"While we have come a long way in last two years or so, we still have hard road ahead and I pray and wish for overall development in Bihar and peace and harmony in the state," the Chief Minister said.

Meanwhile, hundreds of people enjoyed qawwali duel between teams from Kolkata and Gaya throughout the night.

The event was organized by the Mazaar committee to promote communal harmony through art, culture, and music.
