Patna Junction to have its Own Web Site

After that disastrous though much-touted web site of the Patna Municipal Corporation, the railway officials in Bihar have now decided to offer a cyber presence of Patna's railway station that would purportedly provide information about all trains, their arrival and departure status, and other relevant information related to Patna Junction.
The announcement was made by Danapur Division of the East Central Railways General Manager B. D. Garg who said a Delhi-based firm was already engaged in developing Patna Junction web site after surveying the entire railway station.
While Garg did not provide a timeframe for the development of the web site, he said the facility, once completed would 'provide immense convenience to the travelers' arriving at or departing from Patna Junction.
Sadly, most government-initiated web sites in Bihar are designed by inexperienced web designers who are more of 'copy-and-paste' artists with heavy reliance on cheap templates to form the foundation of the web sites while seriously lacking programming knowledge and artistic skills that could give them some credibility in the so-called age of e-governance.
Garg said the web site of Patna Junction should be available in a matter of few months.
