MLA's Bodyguard Sacked for Going Public
Patna: May 2, 2008
Going against her former boss and legislator Sunita Devi and accusing her of trapping him in her pervert, sexual escapades, Yogeshwar Sharma, on Friday paid dearly for going public when the state government terminated his services for making his complaints public before even filing a formal complaint against her.
As reported previously, Sharma, on April 29, filed a case of sexual exploitation against the Congress legislator from Katihar with the Kotwali police station in Patna.
While a high-profile team of Congress leaders including party national secretary Mohsina Kidwai and state president Sadanand Singh have called for a 'fact-finding meeting' with Sunita Devi, the disgraced legislator continues to deny the allegations saying Sharma hatched the entire scheme to blackmail her for extortion purpose.
"If he was being exploited as he has claimed in his police report then what was stopping him from coming forward soon after Sunita Devi allegedly made an advance on him," officials in Patna said expressing their doubts of Sharma's story and casting aspersion on his allegations.
Meanwhile, City Superintendent of Police (SP) Anwar Hussain said the legislator would soon be questioned to get her side of the story.
Congress leaders Mahzabin Khan and Shikha Kapoor have been directed to come to Patna on May 5 to get to the bottom of the case, Sadanand Singh said.
