Charges Filed against Patna Planetarium Director

The state Vigilance on Saturday submitted a list of charges against the project director of Patna Planetarium Vikas Chandra Kumar in the court of special Vigilance Judge S. K. Panwar accusing him of misappropriating public fund to the tune of several lakh rupees.

Kumar who was earlier arrested on corruption charges allegedly diverted public funds from the sale of tickets and renting out the facility for private functions.

He was charged under Prevention of Corruption Act and could end up spending several years behind the bar if convicted.
